Where we are going

Where is Kyetume CBHCP Headed

Kyetume CHBC strives to serve the most vulnerable populations in rural Uganda. We have identified two locations in Uganda that have a great need for the services that Kyetume CBHC provides. It is our dream to be able deliver quality health services to these isolated villages by obtaining funding to build permanent health clinics in their communities.

Katoosi Health Clinic

Our clinic operating in Katoosi is in need of a new facility. The building that we are currently working out of is on loan to us from the family of a patient. However, the family wishes to regain use of that structure. We are looking to construct a new building on land we have purchased adjacent to the current health clinic. With the creation of this new health clinic, we will be able to continue serving the health needs of the people of Katoosi for decades to come.

Kyakuterekera Health Clinic

Kyetume CBHC was approached by a patient, to expand our services into Kibaale, the least urbanized and one of the most impoverished districts in Uganda. After the Ugandan civil war ended, she returned to her ancestral home in Kibaale District to find that she was not able to access any affordable health care in the area surrounding her village of Kyakuterekera. The nearest government-run health facility is quite a distance from this community and critical drugs for the most prevalent ailments are regularly out of stock. Residents of Kyakuterekera make the 7 hour journey Kyetume on a monthly basis to secure ARVs and other vital medications, which they have been unable to consistently find at closer health facilities. Kyetume CBHC has been hosting health outreaches in Kyakuterekera bi-annually, but we believe that it is important that people in this community have their own health clinic so that services such a labor and delivery, HIV care and testing for common ailments can be accessed on a daily basis.

At Kyetume CBHC, we believe that access to affordable health care is a human right. Help us achieve this in Kyakuterekera and Katoosi by donating to the construction of these health clinics
