Clean water, proper sanitation and effective hygiene practices are essential to good health. The inability to access clean water and basic sanitation kills more people every year than all types of violence.

More than 2 million people, most of them children under 5 years old, die every year from diarrhea caused by drinking untreated water. Our efforts in this area focus on improving the water supply, sanitation, and hygiene of rural villagers.
