KYETUME COMMUNITY BASED HEALTH CARE PROGRAMME OVER VIEW OF EMERGENCY POST ABORTION CARE PROJECT

Kyetume CBHC has implemented the EPAC project since 2018 up to date. The project is funded by SAAF.
Our scope of operation is in Kakumiiro- Kibaale district.

Over all goal for the project:

• To have a community free of un safe abortions in Kakumiro and Kibaale district.
The project has three major objectives.
• To increase support for CAC/PAC services amongst district level stake holders and policy makers of Kakumiro –Kibaale district.
• To increase access to quality CAC/PAC and contraceptive services for women and girls from Kyakuterekera parish, Bugangayizi constituency by 2020
• To increase knowledge and change attitudes towards CAC/PAC amongst communities (women ,girls, men, boys, and community leaders)

Activities involved are;

• Provision of modern contraceptive services
• Provision of comprehensive abortion care
• Training of service providers
• Training of CBDs
• Formation of school health clubs
• Community rallies
• Radio talk shows
• Mentorships
• Advocacy meetings
